OOTD
Hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day weekend! I cannot believe how fast this summer flew by!
If you can't tell, the store dipped paint stirrers into different color paints and hung them with string! I think this is such a cute idea!
Anyways, I just wanted to share a easy OOTD with you all. This look is super easy and you definitely can recreate it with similar pieces that you probably already have in your closet!
Outfit Details:
-Hat (similar) - fedora - http://bit.ly/1tP9KfM

I also took some fun pictures inside stores that I wanted to show you all!
As always, I always have to take pictures of succulents when I see them! Putting all different types together makes for a really cute look!

DIY Lilly Pulitzer Binder Covers || Back to School Series
Hope everyone's wednesday is off to a good start! So it's that time of year again...no it's not the most wonderful time of year...it's BACK TO SCHOOL time! While I often dread this time of year, getting new supplies & coming up with cute school DIY projects are always a blast! I do have a school supply haul video coming soon, but until then, I wanted to share with you all my DIY Lilly Pulitzer Binder Covers!! I am so obsessed with Lilly because the prints and patterns are so cute (if you don't know what I'm talking about go google Lilly Pulitzer now!!) so I was inspired to make binder covers with the designs.
If you're interested in seeing how I made them please watch the video below! Note: I did use random initials in the monogram in this video because I wanted to see how different initials looked! Enjoy!

Friday Finds & OOTD
Hope everyone had a wonderful friday!! I spent it wondering down by the beach and wanted to share with you all!
Though I didn't purchase these today, these items are some of my friday finds:
I love little ring dishes like these! Not only are they super cute, but they are a great place to put your most worn rings and smaller jewelry when you get home from work, school, etc. An item like this makes for a perfect hostess gift, going away (to college) gift, or just because gift simply because it pretty & thoughtful. Plus there are such a variety of types that you can really find one that fits a particular person.
Another item that I absolutely LOVE are these Primitives by Kathy wooden quote signs! I own many and happened to find this one day. There are so many different signs that the line definitely has at least one quote you will love!
Lastly, I spent part of my day at the Montage! I really enjoy just walking around the area and taking in the beautiful scenery the resort has to offer! Here are some pictures!
OOTD!
I decided it was finally time to wear the new shirt I bought last friday (see blog post 2 down) and after contemplating what to pair it with I decided a black high-waisted skirt & my new J Crew statement necklace (also purchased last week) were the best options. Pairing a looser shirt with a high tight-waisted skirt can really emphasize your body, especially if you have a skinnier waist and then wider hips like I do. I threw on some random gold bracelets, my new black felt hat, black sunglasses, and my steve madden sandals, then grabbed my faux ostrich skin handbag & I was ready for the day!
Outfit details:
-top - Chloe K Stripe High/Low Tunic (oatmeal/black stripe) http://bit.ly/1poRSXE
-skirt - (similar - different material) skater skirt http://bit.ly/XGXr9J
-shoes - Steve Madden Serenite Sandal (blush) - older shoe still available on random online stores
-necklace - J Crew Stone Frame Statement Necklace (Pebble) http://bit.ly/VtEF3o
-hat - David & Young Floppy Felt Hat (black) http://bit.ly/1t5lGsy
-sunglasses - (similar) Black Faux Wayfarer http://bit.ly/1tCiHai
-purse - (similar, mine is older & very inexpensive from Francesca's) http://bit.ly/1q6u0qD

Hey everyone!
So I was on youtube late last night just watching a bunch of different videos when I came across Taylor Swift's new music video for her new song "Shake it off" and after watching it (a few times), I became obsessed with her "hip hop" makeup look! That was the look she wore with the varsity-style hooded jacket and hat. It's so simple, yet so cute & definitely one of T. Swift's more recent signature looks! So I decided to recreate it for you all!
Check out how I recreated her look below!
I love that this look can be done rather quickly and can be worn to a variety of events, whether that be going out to lunch with friends or going on a date. It can look super cute with a patterned dress or more edgy with a black leather jacket and skinny jeans.
