Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hi lovelies! After using the Wet n Wild Coloricon Tunnel Vision eyeshadow palette for my "Get Ready With Me: Winter Formal 2015" tutorial (see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yvhrxMQ-fs), I wanted to do a quick review about it here on the blog!

To start off, let me say that I knew wet n wild had some decent shadows based off of some prior use, but after using this palette, I gained so much more respect for their shadows! When I swatched them (see further down), I was amazed at how pigmented and smooth they were. The silver eyelid shade shocked me the most with how buttery it was. The other colors didn't let me down either! They are all easy to blend, long-lasting (I used a primer, not sure how long they last without one), and absolutely gorgeous.

I think the concept of this palette is great as well! If you're just getting into makeup or want to learn where to put what color eyeshadows to create the smokey effect, this palette has you covered. The labeling of eyelid, crease, definer, etc. can be very helpful. Though I didn't exactly follow them to create my winter formal look because I am more advanced with makeup application, for others this can be a great feature. I know that I would definitely take advantage of this feature if I was less experienced.

Here are the swatches! All swatches were done with no primer. These pictures do not do the colors justice. They are so pigmented in person.

The last thing I must say is that if you're interested in this palette and aren't sure whether you should buy it, I say go for it! While I love many products, I don't recommend each one to everyone depending on price and what I think in general about them. This one though is truly worth it. The price is around $3-$4 I believe, making it super affordable. Also, while I cannot be one to say all wet n wild shadows are this great simply because I haven't tried them all, this palette is a winner, especially if you're looking to do a cool toned smokey eye.

Comment what you think if you have used it!

Friday Finds!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!! I know that these Friday Finds are being posted here a few days after, but I have been so busy!

I've decided that I want to try to do more "Friday Finds" posts, but what I consider a find doesn't necessarily have to be a item that can be purchased! By that, I mean that sometimes my finds are cute little places that I photograph or cute arrangements of things that could serve as an inspiration to all of you (like how succulents are arranged, etc). I hope you all enjoy!

To start off, I picked up these two products from LUSH Cosmetics! I'm still trying them, but really like them so far! I'm considering doing a blog post on them if they become favorites.

While in Anthropologie, I took some pics! I absolutely love the color organization here (if I am feeling really inspired, maybe I will organize my own closet like this!). Also these books had the "K" and "L" initials so of course I had to include those here. They would look super cute in everyone's office!

Also, I thought this washi tape was so cute that I bought these two! (necklace came from a different store)

Hope everyone is having a good weekend! Love you all!

Winter OOTD!!

I'm once again sharing an easy outfit of the day! I wore this outfit today and it is so comfy and casual yet cute! While the sweater I have on is an old Forever 21 find and therefore no longer available, all the other items are; you just need to find a cozy sweater/sweatshirt that you love to pair with them.

This is my everyday go to kind of outfit for winter! I love wearing these warm types of sweaters/sweatshirts that are loose fitting but "tight" enough where they aren't too bulky to add more layers on top of as the day turns to night and the temp gets colder. These Hudson Jeans are a staple in my wardrobe and while expensive, are totally worth the investment! With careful laundering, they last for a long time (I've had these for probably 4 years!). To give this look a little more pizzaz, I wore my Trolley Ankle Booties from Nordstrom BP and carried my Louis Vuitton Neverfull.

To complete the look, I added a Neff Beanie, which I do often during winter. It is so practical. It allows me to not worry about my hair and keep my ears warm, all while adding an extra stylish touch to my outfit. I seriously own these in way too many colors, but they go with everything!!!

If you want to dress this up a little more, add a statement necklace and BOOM!!, you will be looking chic while staying comfortable!
