Classic Christmas Glam

Happy Christmas Eve loves!! With so many people dressing up tonight and tomorrow, this morning I wanted to share a holiday appropriate look that is not only classic, but very glamorous. 

As I have said many times before, I'm all about dressing up and being girly so when I saw this skirt I knew I had to have it! I think a black midi skirt is something every girl should have in their closet because it can go with so many different looks and can be worn to a variety of occasions since it's not revealing. To go with the skirt, I chose to wear a long sleeve gray top with lace shoulder accents and put on strappy black heels. Any top would go with this skirt, but I love how the black lace looks with the shadow stripes on the skirt; both provide great texture. To complete the look and make it look more holidayish (yep, I just made that word up!), I chose to carry this beautiful Dooney & Bourke crossbody and wear bright red lipstick. Perfect for kissing under the mistletoe right ?! ;)

A Holiday in Houndstooth

For as long as I can remember, I've always loved dressing up! Any excuse to wear a pair of heels and I'm there! What can I say, I'm a total girly girl! As I was going through my closet a few weeks ago, I realized I had this older houndstooth coat that I had been neglecting (as to why, I have no idea) & I was inspired to create a look around it that is classy, but glam. 

I think a bold printed coat and coated black pants are perfect for any dressy outing this time of year. It's the perfect combo to stay warm while remaining stylish. I also felt like a little sparkle was necessary for this look, so I threw on one of my latest necklace obsessions from Rocksbox, but if a statement piece like the one I'm wearing is too much for your taste, I think a dainty silver or gold necklace would look amazing as well. Then I paired this gorgeous Dooney and Bourke bag with the outfit that is both simple and sophisticated (ps...you can see more of my nail look here). Also, can we talk about my shades...I definitely feel like I'm channeling my inner Audrey Hepburn in my cat eye sunglasses!

Edgy Classic

A while back I shared my experience with The Denim Lab (see post here) & today I'm excited to be sharing another styled look that I created with key pieces I found at the store!

After searching through the large variety of styles and brands The Denim Lab has, I found these jeans and well, lets just say it was love. While I usually lean towards dark washed denim, I found this light faded wash to be beautiful and I like how the pants are a little edgy with the distressed legs. To counter the edginess, I paired classic pieces with the jeans including the super cute gray top (also from The Denim Lab) and this beautiful bag. The top is seriously so soft and a piece that will remain stylish for years to come. Then for a little sparkle, I threw on a jeweled necklace that is totally holiday appropriate and my favorite pointed flats, both of which make the look a little more put together and timeless.

Men's Gift Guide - Last Minute Ideas

Can you believe that Christmas is on Friday?! It seems like December has just flown by and boom here we are only a few days away from the big day! Despite the holiday being so close, I know many are still doing last minute shopping. No judgement! In fact, the next few days I'm going to be sharing last minute ideas to help make things a little easier for those who are still shopping. Today I wanted to focus on the men in your life. It can be SUPER difficult to find them stuff. Sometimes I even think it's harder to buy a guy a gift than a girl, even though guys are supposed to be low maintenance...lol. I think the guy in your life would love these chukka boots and a classic duffle bag is something that's always handy. Then of course, you can never go wrong with a nice watch or wallet. Hope these ideas help!
