A Little Sparkle - NYE Outfit

Wohooo! It's almost a new year! Can you believe it?! I honestly don't know where 2015 went! Before we jump on into 2016 though, we have one big celebration to get through...NEW YEAR'S EVE!! 


As I was thinking about NYE today, I realized that it should be one of my favorite nights of the year! It's the perfect excuse to dress up & be super glam without being judged. Bring on the sequins and everything that sparkles!! 

For this look, I started with a sequined top (pink of course!) and then paired it with my black midi skirt that you previously saw in this post during the holidays. I love finding new ways to style pieces I already own! Then to add some more sparkle I put on a statement necklace that I received in my latest Rocksbox! It's NYE, why not wear a lot of bling?!

Classic Christmas Glam

Happy Christmas Eve loves!! With so many people dressing up tonight and tomorrow, this morning I wanted to share a holiday appropriate look that is not only classic, but very glamorous. 


As I have said many times before, I'm all about dressing up and being girly so when I saw this skirt I knew I had to have it! I think a black midi skirt is something every girl should have in their closet because it can go with so many different looks and can be worn to a variety of occasions since it's not revealing. To go with the skirt, I chose to wear a long sleeve gray top with lace shoulder accents and put on strappy black heels. Any top would go with this skirt, but I love how the black lace looks with the shadow stripes on the skirt; both provide great texture. To complete the look and make it look more holidayish (yep, I just made that word up!), I chose to carry this beautiful Dooney & Bourke crossbody and wear bright red lipstick. Perfect for kissing under the mistletoe right ?! ;)

While the bigger gifts you receive for the holidays can be pretty exciting, growing up, I always loved opening my stocking stuffers! There is something so fun about the smaller gifts and many of times I received unique little items I wouldn't have expected. It seems as though many people get the bigger Christmas items crossed off their list, but them panic trying to find the stocking stuffers, so this year, I wanted to share some ideas that would be perfect for women. I honestly think this anti-stress coloring book is such a cool gift & this lipgloss...lets just say its amazing!! Want to give something trendy? Faux fur pompom bag charms are definitely in style. I've been seeing them EVERYWHERE I go while out doing my Christmas shopping and well, I ended up purchasing one for myself! Do you have any good stocking stuffer ideas?

While everyone is already talking about holiday gifts and decorations, all that's on my mind is Thanksgiving! While I try to be thankful everyday, I think it's good that we celebrate a holiday that reminds us of all we have to be grateful for. Plus, who doesn't love eating yummy food in the company of family and friends?! Anyways, when I realized that Thanksgiving is only a week away, I decided it would be perfect to share some of my hostess gift ideas since many people go to others' homes to celebrate. 

I think that your hostess would love any of these gifts! This pumpkin souffle candle smells heavenly   and the See's Candies seasonal pie truffles sound so good!! I also love giving little ring dishes like this one as hostess gifts. You could even pair it with something else like these colorful napkins (which I would use as decorative towels) and put them in a cello bag tied with raffia. Hello lovelies!! Can you believe we are already almost halfway through November...like what?! Someone posted on Instagram yesterday that there are only 6 more Saturdays until Christmas and I'm kind of freaking out even though I'm one who puts off shopping until after Thanksgiving. Does that make me totally not in the 21st century? I just think we need to focus on one holiday at a time and I love Thanksgiving. Anyways, for those of you that are starting your shopping or are on the look out for some cute holiday pieces to wear to upcoming parties and gatherings, I've picked out some items that I think would be super cute. Now I know that I picked out two dresses here and many of you  experience chilly weather for the next few months, but I love wearing dresses for the holidays. Just style  them with a bunch of other layers and you're good to go! I'm currently obsessing over these heels and I think they would look amazing with this black turtleneck dress and a bold wine lip. It doesn't count as Christmas shopping if I go buy myself some of these for holiday events coming up...right??

Today I have to confess that I haven't been to the mall in over a month...like what the heck?! There just isn't enough hours in the day! Thank goodness for the internet & online shopping ~ insert praise hand emoji here lol. 

I've been eyeing black lace up flats for months because they seem to be everywhere and I finally found these ones that I'm obsessed with. I don't know what it is about adding some cords to black flats that pulls me in, but I just think they are the cutest things! Totally Fall appropriate! I'm picturing them with the camel-colored skirt and fitted tweed jacket

Now what about this pom pom bag charm! Like...yes please!! I will take one for every bag I own. Having accessories for your accessories is totally acceptable right?!

Summer may not be "officially" over, but with school having started back up, in my book it's basically Fall! With that being said, all I can think about is the Fall color palette. I just love neutrals and it's a plus that my brown hair looks wonderful with taupes & dark greens. I am in LOVE with this  flared dress {under $35!!} and the Chloe & Isabel wrap bracelet is the perfect way to add a pop of color and some bling to an outfit! I seriously want everything I'm sharing...minus the bill though ;) I may just have to stick with purchasing a couple of these for now! What are your Fall picks that you have your eye on?! While it may be August, as you've probably already noticed, most stores are beginning to bring in all the Fall attire. Though it pains me to even think about Summer coming to a close (thank goodness there is still a month left!), over the years I've realized that if you don't grab those cute Fall pieces you have your eye on now, you will miss out. With that being said, today I'm sharing some of the pieces that I think are totally appropriate for the months to come! Every store I've been to lately has been full of red, white & blue! I'm not complaining here because I totally love being patriotic, but I'm taking it as a sign that we all better jump on getting ready for the 4th! I've been in that situation before where I go to get all things "America" a couple days before and it's all sold out. It was terrible. Romper Love

Every once in a while, I find an article of clothing that I just can't get enough of, a piece that I would love to wear a couple days in a row (don't worry, I didn't actually wear it consecutive days, but a girl can dream right?!). I'm sure we've all experienced this at one point or another and for me this time around, that item can in the form of a patterned blue romper! It truly was love at first sight with this piece and after seeing the price tag, I knew it had to be mine! I know, I know, I'm being a little dramatic, but hey this fashion lover is always looking for a good bargain.


Also, mirrored sunglasses are totally trending right now! I think they are so fun for Summer and a great way to add a pop of color to an outfit. Plus, they look super cute in Instagram pictures for those insta addicts out there like myself ;)

Summer Stripes

Somehow stripes have yet again returned to my blog...I know, not a shocker there! I just love striped tops and dresses, what can I say?! What makes this dress different though is that the stripes are very small and it is actually an A-line style. Whether running errands or throwing this on for a pool party, I already know that this dress is going to be a piece that I will wear a ton this Summer. 


It's just one of those dresses that is so flattering yet simple and to add to it, I changed things up and actually wore silver jewelry! I feel like lately I've been wearing gold jewelry so much even though I own a ton more silver jewelry than gold...anyone else have this problem or is it just me?
