Real Techniques Blush Brush - My Thoughts

As many of you know, in addition to having this fashion blog, I also have a YouTube channel where I talk about beauty tips and makeup! With that being said, I like to share my videos here on my blog as well and tonight I wanted to let you know about my beloved Real Techniques blush brush!

From the first day I tried this brush, I've loved it! It is soft and fluffy, which allows it to evenly distribute blush across the cheeks and create a natural flush that can definitely be buildable. What's even better is that this brush is less than $10! It quickly became a staple in my collection and even after almost 9 months of use, it has continued to perform the same as it did on day one. For a more detailed review and demo, click the video below and don't forget to subscribe to my channel ;)

The Seersucker Dress

I'm truly convinced that wearing the right outfit can really set the tone for the entire day! For me, when I'm dressed in an outfit I love, I feel more confident and am even more positive than usual. While today's look is not super extravagant, I seriously felt like a million bucks! Looks like this one are my favorite thing to wear during the Summer! It's so easy to slip on a dress and pair it with some cute accessories!

I'm obsessed with the seersucker fabric of this strapless dress, but what I really love about it is the v-detailing on the front of it! It really breaks up the pattern and makes it unique. Also, I have been taking this little pink cross-body with me everywhere lately! It's super lightweight and provides a pretty pop of color! What's your go-to Summer look?! Comment to let me know!

California Casual

Does anyone ever get sick of pants like I do?! Part of what I love about Summer is getting to wear skirts and dresses. Not only are they lightweight, but they are comfortable. While I'm sure I will still have a ton of Summer looks that include pants, for today I'm rocking a look that totally goes with the "no pants" state of mind.

I love that this look has the beachy California vibe to it while still having stylish aspects to it with the laid back accessories. Also, the kinda beat up sandals I have on are called Rainbow Sandals and they are truly a Californian thing to wear. With Rainbows, the more worn down, the better and comfier they are!

My Palette Collection

Somehow after a three day weekend, the rest of the week seems super long and I don't feel as productive! Does anyone else feel that way?! Anyways, somehow (and I'm still not sure how...) I managed to shoot and edit a new video within the past 24 hours and today I wanted to share it with you here!

I love watching palette collections on YouTube because they are a great way to not only see someone's collection, but also learn a little about each palette! Feeling inspired, I found all of my palettes and did a collection/mini review video on my YouTube channel! You can click below to watch and also, I will link all the palettes I mentioned at the bottom of this post.

Palettes Mentioned:

-Jaclyn Hill Favorites Palette - Morphe Brushes (only in store now)

Smashbox Masterclass 3 Color & Contour Palette (no longer avail.)

Thank you so much for watching!! A new fashion post will be coming here soon!

Pearls & Pink

After a couple of extremely busy and stressful weeks with the end of the Spring school semester coming to a close, it has been so nice to relax and of course be back to writing here! I am so excited that I'm now going to have a ton of time to share new outfits and YouTube videos. I have a ton of ideas in mind! Anyways, a couple months back I was out shopping and fell in love with this floral tank! I don't know how I'm just now getting around to sharing it, but it's on sale!!

I just think that the print is so pretty. I absolutely love the light pink colors! Also, this cardigan is great for Summer and comes in so many colors! It's lightweight, but the perfect layer to add if you get chilly on a Summer night.

Summer 2015 Trends

Summer 2015 Trends

Things are crazy right now with this week being the last one of my Spring semester. Luckily, I found a little time to share with you all the trends that I think will be huge this Summer! These are styles that I have seen everywhere I've been recently and all are super Summer appropriate! I am definitely going to be picking up some of these items and partaking in these trends!! Also, all items in the picture above will be linked next to the numbers below!
  1. Pineapple Tote Bags - Pineapples are seriously all over the place right now! I've seen them on shirts, purses, even shorts! I am loving this fruity trend ;)
  2. Retro Cat Eye Sunglasses - I don't know what it is about these glasses, but I'm obsessed! How cute would these be with a bathing suit?!
  3. Bright Green/Mint Nail Polish - Bright colored polish is always easier to get away with in the Summer! It would be so cute for a tropical getaway.
  4. Kendra Scott Earrings - Anything Kendra Scott is totally in right now! The pop of color is perfect for Summer!
  5. Tassel Bracelets - Out of all these trends, this is the one I have been seeing the most. From necklaces to earrings to bracelets, so many things have tassels on them right now.
  6. Pointed Toe Flats - Pointed shoes just seem to spice up any outfit you pair them with!

Casual Saturday Look

Let's be real...not everyday do I dress to the nines with heels, the perfect blouse & a ton of accessories. I'm a girl who loves to be stylish while remaining comfy and today's look definitely achieves that!

Many of you have probably already seen my post the other day in which I styled the pink version of this sweater, but with this gray one, I wanted to show you how I dress it down. I really love the simplicity of this look. It is an outfit that could be worn for a variety of occasions because while it is casual, the necklace and gold bracelet give it a little shine.

Sweater: H&M / Pants: Hudson Jeans (old, similar) / Sandals (same, but Pewter): Bernardo 1946 / Necklace: BP. / Bracelet: Kate Spade

Here's to casual Saturdays!
